"Erin Fisher was my birth doula. She was there to educate and prepare me for labor before my baby was born, held my hand and everything/ anything else during my daughter's birth, and supported me in the challenging days and weeks thereafter. My daughter is 5 months old and I still call on Erin for anything and everything I might need, from help with the baby to questions about baby care and welfare. Erin is a beautiful person. She is calm and loving and brings a special peace and joy to the room. She is a nurturing, caring, and solid person on whom anyone could rely in a potentially high stress situation. We couldn't have had the experience we had without her presence."

"Dear Prospective Family,
I am writing this email as a recommendation for our wonderful Doula, Erin Fisher. She assisted us in the months before, during and after our daughters birth in April 2012. We were looking for someone to be a resource for our questions and guide us through childbirth at Santa Monica UCLA. We wanted someone at the birth with us as an advocate who knew our wishes and could make the process a calm experience, as I was a little anxious about it all. From the moment we met Erin, we were so comfortable with her and felt her calm, kind spirit shine through. She is a doula because she loves to help families. She will never do anything that is not in your best interest first and we trust her completely.
I ended up going on bed rest at 32 weeks and Erin knew the things I needed to hear as emotional support during this time. She was wonderful during the birth of our daughter and I felt more comfortable with everything going on with her there. Erin also has an incredible amount of resources and contacts available for new moms. She recommended an amazing lactation consultant after I had some difficulty breastfeeding. I could not have imagined going through all of this without Erin."

"Erin was my post-partum doula for about three weeks. I have worked with several doulas, and what most struck me most about Erin was how well she listened. She is sensitive and responsive and gentle, and she is as attentive to a mother’s mental health as to her physical. Having a baby is hard, and Erin was always there to offer support and reassurance. I learned so much from Erin—from how to deal with breastfeeding difficulties, to how to alleviate my baby’s gas issues, to how to pump effectively. I was talking to one of Erin’s colleagues recently, and we both agreed that Erin is so kind and generous, with such good energy, that one can’t help but want to be around her. I want to have another baby, just so I can spend more time with Erin again!"

"Erin assisted us after the birth of my second son. Words can not express what an amazing person she is. She is truly passionate about her work with babies and mothers. It was so refreshing to have someone work with our family who took so much pride in her job. Erin is very professional and her job doesn't end when she finishes her doula work with you. To this day, Erin is someone I can call for advice and trustworthy referrals. If she doesn't have an answer, she goes the extra mile to find one for you. She is so caring and loving, and I look forward to having her work with our family again."

"My doula Erin!! I had never had or even heard of a doula before till Erin, I was very unsure about it because I am very weird about people I don't know seeing me poop and my mommy parts. Erin was more then just a random person in the room she was at my house every week with birthing lessons breathing lessons gave me more then enough info in breast feeding and answered all questions we had about our baby. She was there with me for all my false alarms :) and on the big night she slept with me in my room made sure I was comfortable and happy. My main concern was having a natural birth Erin was by my side and had my back when I changed my mind she made sure that's what I really wanted before letting them poke me :) I know it's hard to fight with a women during labor thanks Erin for everything!! Still to this day a year later Erin still continues to help me with any issues and we love our doula !!!"

"To whom it may concern,
I would like to recommend Erin Fisher for hire as a Doula. She did a great job with my family and is very professional, knowledgeable and caring. She takes great pride in her work. Erin has a remarkable ability to come along side you as if she was part of your family from the beginning. She is a worker and will not sit idly by when tasks are to be completed for mom or baby. She even took care of issues we were unaware we had such as proper baby room organization. This made things much more smooth for our transition from the Hospital to home. She is up-to-date on all the latest news and developments concerning the raising of babies and the caring of mothers. In our humble opinion, you have hit the jack pot if you hire Erin.
P.S She also makes great TEA..If you would like to give me a call please do not hesitate to get my # from Erin."

"I honestly don't know what to say Erin, There were so many advantages to having you there. You help me be more connected to the whole process just by being there to help. Your presence alone to help with little things that came up was enough reason to have you there. I admit since I didn't know what a doula was I wasn't sure I needed or wanted one, but if for no other reason my partner felt better with you there and what's best for the mother is the bottom line. Having another caring set of hands on deck made the whole birth go so much smoother than it could have. Thanks again."

"Erin Fisher was my postpartum Doula for three weeks after the birth of my second child. Erin was the perfect fit for my family. From taking care of my son to bringing me food for the next day Erin was always extremely supportive. Erin was always able to give me information and refer me to local specialists when a problem would arise.
When I met Erin it was about four months before I gave birth she was warm, caring and a wealth of information. Erin was such a sweet person I knew from our first meeting that I wanted her to be my Doula. From the beginning, every time I would ask her a question she would have the answer. If I told her a concern of mine she always presented me with information so I could make an informed decision. As my due date came closer Erin started checking in with me periodically just to see how everything was going. It was really nice to establish open lines of communication prior to having my son. Erin always made a point to ask if I needed anything, about doctor’s appointments and how I was feeling.
Our first night home from the hospital Erin came to our house with love and support. She was extremely encouraging with breastfeeding right from the start. Erin was always wonderful with our son. She would stay up with him on the nights when he had painful gas and sleep next to him when he was resting. Erin frequently brought me food for lunch the next day. Every meal she brought was carefully planned and made perfectly. It is so nice to not have to worry about eating something healthy when taking care of a newborn and a toddler. While Erin was with us she always made a point of helping with our daughter, who was 2 ½ years old. She even stayed late one morning doing puzzles with her.
Erin has been nothing but wonderful since I met her. Even now, 4 months after our son was born she is the first person I call when I have a question or need a referral. When a breastfeeding issue came up I called her and she was able to ask me questions and set me up with the perfect lactation consultant who was extremely helpful. Erin has always been supportive, caring and kind and I could not think of anyone else I would rather have helping with our new baby. She will always be a friend, not just our Doula because she was so sweet and kind in a stressful time. "

"Erin was a source of strength, confidence, and calm. She reminded me to keep hydrated, she massaged my back when I had back labor, and she kept me calm when I started to panic. I can't imagine going through our birth without her loving support."
